A couple who flew on a recent budget carrier has taken to social media to record the shocking state of the plane they were flying in.

The TikTok video of the Ryanair flight to Spain from @scottandsals has been viewed more than 2 million times.

The clip, titled “Avoid Ryanair”, shows what appears to be crisps and biscuits strewn on the ground.

“We boarded the dirtiest Ryanair flight ever today … Cabin crew told us they don’t clean between flights,” was the caption on the video.

While many commentators were appalled, there was a large amount of anger, not towards the airline, but the passengers who caused the mess.

“Passengers who left the plane like this should be ashamed,” wrote one.

“Ryanair have a tight turnaround period, unfortunately some people are messy and don’t care about anyone else who may sit there after them,” said another.

“Is a bus cleaned between every route …? No! Ryanair is literally a bus in the sky. “

Another comment from someone who claimed to work for the airline said they only had a turnaround time of 25 minutes.

When one comment said that, “Ryanair is cheaper because of short turnaround times. It is impossible to clean stuff like this quickly, “the video creators added:” A quick brush wouldn’t hurt though. “

In a statement to The Independenta Ryanair spokesperson said: “Our aircraft are cleaned during every turnaround.”
