Multiple domestic flights have been delayed with some canceled at Auckland Airport on Thursday evening, adding to months of travel woes.
By 6pm on Thursday, Air New Zealand had delayed six flights across the country, and canceled three according to the Auckland airport arrivals and departures page.
Thursday’s affected flights were to Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, Queenstown, Bay of Islands and Palmerston North.
An Air New Zealand spokesperson said: “There have been a number of flights delayed today due to a mixture of weatherengineering and operational requirements, with only a few cancellations.”

“Our teams are in the process of re-accommodating customers impacted by cancellations onto alternative services to get them to where they need to go. We apologize for the inconvenience to our customers.”
