What happened to JLo’s social media accounts? The history is erased leaving fans guessing

American pop singer and actress Jennifer Lopez has left her 226 million Instagram followers in the dark this week – literally – as her post history disappeared without explanation.

All that remains is a solid black image as her profile picture.

That same black image has also replaced the profile picture on her Twitter and TikTok accounts, although the archived content still remains.

Over on Facebook, the profile picture has been updated with a new logo, with the words Jennifer Lopez against a dark solid background.

While the most common theory on social media seems to be a new project or album is likely to be announced soon, some Facebook users seem to have mistaken the dark profile images as a sign of mourning, with comments like “sorry for your loss” and messages of condolences.

But over on Twitter the hashtag #JLoiscoming is being used to build excitement amongst fans, with rumors spreading the pop star is “blacking out” her social media in preparation for a big announcement.

Lopez’s most recent studio album, AKA, was released in 2014. Her most recent film appearance was in the 2022 film. Marry Me with Owen Wilson.

In September this year, the actress and singer married actor Ben Affleck At the Gone Girl star’s estate in the US state of Georgia.

Photos of the wedding day were amongst the posts recently deleted from JLo’s account.

“I hope you archived all your posts on Instagram,” a Tweet from user @jlosbae read.
